Dear Members
WHAT WE HAVE BUILT
In under a year, we have built a serious principled political party.
We are by far the best constructed party. Entirely democratic and with the ability to attract the best minds in the country to create a coherent policy framework. A clear political philosophy and an executive committed to delivering it.
A regional network and elected councillors.
The foundation of all our other policies is our policy on culture. It defines the country.
We have shown how the country can be saved.
THE CHANGING LANDSCAPE
We formed because Reform had completely lost its way. It was not the party to save the country, and it still is not.
But the launch of Restore Britain has created a crowded field which, if left as it is, would make the task of saving the country even more difficult. Several parties competing for the same patriotic vote cannot serve Britain. The landscape needs clarification.
THE DECISION BELONGS TO THE MEMBERSHIP
So, last night the College and I met and decided that, whilst Advance should go on campaigning and making policy, it should not add to a confused political landscape. It should de-register as a political party. And, ideally, it should merge with the Great British Political Action Committee, of which I am already chairman. The GBPAC would be an ideal vehicle for us to go on doing what we do, except for standing in elections.
I appreciate you joined a party and so we will be putting this to a membership vote in the coming weeks.
WHY I AM RECOMMENDING THE GREAT BRITISH POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
GBPAC is built for action, and action is what this country needs. As its chairman, I am confident it provides the right home for our movement, our mission and our people.
It is a cross-party organisation of committed patriots, pro-sovereign, pro-democratic, and wholly dedicated to putting Britain first. It is not about party labels or political branding. It is about delivering real change for the people of this country.
Claire Bullivant, GBPAC's CEO, has led the fight against the Government's Chagos Islands giveaway with skill and tenacity. Without the GBPAC, Chagos would already have been handed over to Mauritius.
By merging with GBPAC, we become part of something much larger than any single party. A unifying force that brings together the finest minds, the strongest candidates and the most dedicated patriots under one banner. Not divided. Not diminished. United, purposeful and ready.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
Nothing we have built disappears. It transfers. Members continue as members in the GBPAC.
College members will be invited to join its board of advisors, where their expertise will be used to continue our policy making.
Our councillors will sit as independents, but they will not be abandoned. GBPAC will stand behind them and give them all the support they need in fulfilling their duties.
And should those for whom we are now making way fail the British people, we will still be here, organised, prepared and ready to return as an electoral force.
I want to thank every member, donor, councillor, regional organiser and supporter who placed their faith in Advance UK. What we have achieved is remarkable. It will carry forward into everything that comes next.
More details on the proposed merger with GBPAC will be sent to members soon, together with details of the intended vote.
Yours sincerely,
Ben Habib
Leader, Advance UK
