Former singer-songwriter turned law graduate and tech start-up founder, Katie Waissel brings a unique combination of creative industry experience, legal expertise, and entrepreneurial innovation to Advance UK’s College.
Born and raised in Hertfordshire, she is the founder of O.W.H.L (Overseeing the Welfare, Human Rights, and Liberty), a pioneering safeguarding platform for the creative industries. Katie was awarded a scholarship to attend law school, placed first in the National Development Awards nationwide, and is committed to safeguarding, transparency, and accountability.
As part of the College overseeing policy, legislation, and the workings of the party, she works to ensure decision-making is grounded in integrity, evidence, and the lived realities of the people it serves.
