A Cambridge and Oxford graduate, Kathy had a career in TV current affairs before quitting in favour of full-time motherhood. Horrified by burgeoning ‘babyroom’ daycare she founded Full Time Mothers, later to become Mothers at Home Matter, to lobby on behalf of stay-at-home mothers, single-earner couple families.
In 1999 she returned to work part time on a BBC bias monitoring project which continues to this day as News-Watch. She went on to work on social policy at the Centre for Policy Studies and for the Conservative Party’s Social Justice Policy Reviews, heading up the Addictions working party for Breakdown Britain (2006) and Breakthrough Britain (2007).
In 2014 she set up The Conservative Woman (now TCW Defending Freedom) wth Laura Perrins of which she remains the Editor. During the course of her career she has written for The Telegraph, Times, Daily Mail and broadcast on BBC, ITV, Sky and GB News (on the Colin Brazier, Mark Steyn and Dan Wootton shows).
