Fearless Episode 8 - "Ill Name Them In Parliament" - Nick Buckley's Plan to Clean Up Politics

Fearless Episode 8 -

In episode 9 of Fearless, I sit down with Nick Buckley – our Advance UK candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election on 26 February. If Nick wins, he will become the very first MP for Advance UK in the House of Commons.

Nick isn’t a career politician. He’s the man who took £25,000 out of his pension to stand as an independent, won over 50,000 votes in the Greater Manchester mayoral race, and beat the Greens, Lib Dems and Reform UK – all without a party machine behind him.

In this conversation we talk about:

Why this by-election is so intense – and why the whole country is now watching Gorton and Denton.

How Nick built trust locally: years working on the streets, reducing crime, helping the homeless, setting up youth clubs and being recognised with an MBE.

Why he left Reform UK – and why he says they’ve become just another wing of the Uni-Party, stacked with failed Tories.

The moment he decided to nail his colours to Advance UK instead, and the five non-negotiable priorities he demanded from me before joining.

His 5-point plan as your MP:

A local public inquiry into grooming gangs and child sexual exploitation in the area – with findings reported openly to the public, and names taken to the police and, if necessary, named in Parliament.

Personally funding an anti-knife crime programme from his own MP salary to get back onto the streets in the evenings and weekends.

A whistleblower hotline for council workers to expose waste and incompetence – using public embarrassment to force change.

Monthly public meetings with senior police so residents can set policing priorities and demand answers.

Ten public meetings a year where you hold Nick accountable for how he votes and how he spends his time as your MP.

We also discuss:

Why “don’t split the vote” is the same bullying line the Tories used against Reform – and why it shows total contempt for ordinary voters.

How Reform have drifted into soft globalism, identity dilution and “we’re a nation of immigrants” rhetoric.

Why Britain’s foundations in Christianity matter, even to people who aren’t personally religious – and how abandoning those foundations has led to national decline.

Why one fearless MP, who doesn’t care about a ministerial career, can start knocking over the first dominoes in Westminster.

If you live in Gorton and Denton and want a truly local MP who grew up there, worked there, based his charity there and still has his family there – this episode is for you.

We are in this by-election to win. If Nick wins, it will send a seismic shock through the Uni-Party, including Reform, and show that the British people want a proud, sovereign, Christian-rooted United Kingdom back.
